Do institutions have to pay zakat on goods used to raise funds? Specifically, does an Islamic Educational Organization have to pay zakat on books it has purchased seeking to sell these books for a profit in order to establish a waqf (in a non-Islamic country)?
Institutions do not pay Zakah on their assets as these are not the personal possessions of any person.
