Waswasa and urine

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Miscellaneous

My cousin has waswasa, and I was trying to help her out with a few things. One of the things were about not being sure if a child has urine or water on his pants. She’s a kindergarten teacher and sometimes the kids ask her to button back their pants. She said she thinks she feels wetness when she buttons back their pants. And she’s not sure if it’s water or urine. What is the solution?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Everything is pure by default. Therefore, since you did not actually see the pants coming into contact with urine, the pants are not filthified.

And Allah knows best.
