Where does one start washing the arms in wudu?

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad

When one is making Wudhu from a faucet , is it recommended to start washing the arms at the fingertipes to the elbows ? or should one start washing at the elbows ? Which should one do when washing the feet also ?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the mos Compassionate.

In this case, one would start washing the arms from the elbows and the feet from the anklebones. (Reliance of the Traveler, e5.20)

And Allah knows best
