Question: Assalamun Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wabarakatuh
There is alcohol in the building I work in. I pray Dhuhr Salaat in a room where there is no alcohol. My question was would my salaat be accepted?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
The presence of alcohol in the building, or even in the same room, would not affect the validity of your prayer. Your prayer is valid as long as the filth is not touching you or your immediately place of prayer. However, it would be improper to pray in the same room in the same vicinity with the alcohol because it would be disrespectful.
