Assallamalikum I seek ur guidance in the light of Islam on this issue. One of my relative who is now 35 yrs with out his elders permission had loved a Hindu girl. Out of there affair they had a son. On repenting this he married this girl thru Nikah after few years on birth of his son, He had not celebrated Valima till now. Please guide accordilgly what is best to do now. If she converted to Islam, then did he marry her before her conversion of after? Please, clarify these matters, then only you can be replied about the walimah. I submit that the my relayive & the girl had illegal relationship for some years & had a son out of it.After the birth of the child she was converted to Islam & they had Nikah. When the girl accepted Islam and then the boy and girl married, the Nikah was valid. After Nikah and meeting of the spouses, it is sunnah to perform walimah, but it should be performed within three days of marriage. Now, there is no need for walimah when the Nikah was performed pretty earlier. If you want to invite friends and relatives to feast, there is no prohibition.
