Is my single talaq valid according to Islam and Supreme Court amendments?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My name is Mohammad Hidayathulla I married Dr. Shabana Begum on 27.01.2008, initially my marriage was blissful for few months later there was a drastic change in her behavior I understood that she married me for the sake of society and her intention is to practice her profession at her father’s house. She started behaving cruelly towards my old parents and made police complaints two times and sent my parents to jail. Even she brought goons in my absence and severely abused and manhandled my old age parents. Presently she is not living with me for last one year and in four years of marriage life I spend almost three years without any sort of contact/physical relation with her. Even I approached “Anjuman Committee” to solve my problem. Even committee responded with reconciliation failure. Since I approached committee, she has made police complaint against me and my family again. She and her family are mentally torturing me and my old parents for last four years. In such situation I have send a SINGLE TALAQ along with mahr DD of 25 thousand rupees to her by post on 24th Jan 2012. She sent reply letter to me saying “YOUR TALAQ NOT ACCEPTED”, this is against Islam, this is invalid letter, this is against Supreme Court amendments. I want to know whether single talaq given by me is valid or not? Please answer my question I will be very grateful to you.

What did you write in your talaqnama, send its copy as well. However, if a husband gives talaq to his wife verbally or in written form then talaq takes place, it does not depend on the acceptance or rejection of wife, as the right of talaq is entrusted to husband only.
