Is it okay to accept salary partly in cash and partly by cheque to avoid taxes?

Assalmalaikum. I work in a private firm, my finance department gives my salary partly in cash and some by cheque so that i do not have to pay taxes on the full amount. They have their own reasons also in practising this and give salary in this way to almsot all seniors members. Pls advise if it is OK to accept salary like this. Jazakallah

Yes, it is lawful. Do not fall in any doubt.
