Printing personal emails at work

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A person prints a personal e-mail, document etc from his/her employer. There is a subtle allowance and a fair use policy in place. The employer is able to track all employees prints individually. As a Muslim, is there anything forbidden in this practice? If so, what should one do if one has the prints in one’s possession?

Bismillaah

A: Whatever is permissible to print according to the shari`ah will be permissible, since the company has approved it.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
