Assalamualaikum I have a question regarding the zakat on plots. I am from Nanded (Maharashtra). In Nanded, My family owns a house and a plot. I am working in a company in hyderabad so stay in hyderabad in a rented house and pay a rent nearly 4000. We have kept the plot with the following intention. 1. we will sell it when some urgent need arise. 2. We will sell that plot to build a house in hyderabad. So will i have to pay zakat on that plot?

Zakah is not wajib on the said plot or its price. Yes, while purchasing the plot if you had the intention that you will earn benefit by selling it then Zakah shall be wajib.
