i am clerk in government service if i put my savings as fixed deposit in bank, the intrest on fixed deposit is lawful, inshaallah give me reply.

(Fatwa: 451/321=L/1430)
The interest gained out of fixed deposit is also haram; if you invest your saving in any business the income will be lawful. Therefore, it is better to invest the amount in any fair business, instead of fixed deposit.
