In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

It is permissible to hang pictures of Mecca, Medina, or any other mosque, pictures of Qur’anic verses, as well as pictures of inanimate objects, like sunsets, gardens, flowers, etc…

As for pictures of animate objects, this falls under a difference of opinion amongst the scholars of Islam. See those details here.
