Question:

Is it permissible to wear jewellery with verses of the Quran inscribed if I’m not in the state of wudhu?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In general if one is wearing the verses of the Quran in the form of Tawiz then it should be protected in a cloth and not exposed as this will be disrespectful, touching the verses of the Quran directly when one is not in a state of Wudu is not permissible even if it is written on a coin or such as this will be similar to touching the Quran, hence jewellery which has the verses of the Quran and is not covered one cannot touch it during a state of impurity.[1]

ولا مس الدراهم التي عليها القرآن لأن حرمة المصحف كحرمة ما كتب فيه فيستوي فيه الكتابة في المصحف و على الدراهم
