Question

Can a Muslim family help out a Christian family financially for the burial of their mother?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It will be permissible to visit a non-Muslim to offer one’s condolences for a family bereavement.[1] It is not permissible to give Zakah to the non-Muslims, however, sadaqah can be given to them to aid in the burial of their mother.

Only Allah knows best
