Can Zakat Be Given to a Madrasah Whose Students Are Not Eligible for Zakat

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Answer

Zakat money may not be given to a Madrasah if the students of that Madrasah are not poor enough for them to be eligible for zakat.
