Question

Has anyone given a fatwa on allowing a property to be rented out to a bank, haram restaurant etc.?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Property can be rented out to a bank or a haram restaurant etc. because the owner of the property is not responsible for what goes on in the property. The rent is given for the use of the property.[1]
