Is it Okay if We Don’t do Suhoor?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Question

What if you don’t eat anything and just keep the fast?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Suhoor is recommended but it is not compulsory.[1] Therefore it will be permissible to keep the fast by not eating anything.

But a Muslim should keep in mind that it is recommended to eat Suhoor. The Prophet (s.a.w) said, “Take Suhoor as there is a blessing in it.”[2]

Only Allah knows best
