Is my marriage valid? got married to an English girl who converted to Islam, in the presence of two muslim male witnesses. There was no imam present at this wedding.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Not so long ago, I got married to an English girl who converted to Islam, in the presence of two muslim male witnesses. I proposed to her and she accepted. There was no imam present at this wedding. It was just the four of us. Is this wedding valid?

Answer

If there were, at least, two Muslim adult males at the Nikah, the Nikah is valid.

The presence of an Imaam is not a prerequisite for the validity of a Nikah.
