Statements and Bad Duas by parents

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. If a child is playing on a chair and could fall, if I say “don’t do that, you will fall” then is that a bad dua that is being made and Allah could accept it?

A. The statement “don’t do that, you will fall” to a child is not a bad Dua or curse. It is simply a warning to a child.

Instead of focusing on bad Duas or curses, one should focus on positive Duas and statements.
