Is it allowed for a non-Muslim to enter the Masjid?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Question:

Assalamu Alaykum,

Is it allowed for a non-Muslim to enter the Masjid and/or jamat khana to address the congregation

I have heard from someone that according to Bukhari Sharif non-Muslims are allowed to enter the Masjid. On the other hand, I have heard that a napaak person is not permitted to enter the Masjid.

Which is correct please?

Answer:

Wa Alaikumus Salaam,

Yes, it is allowed for a non Muslim to enter the masjid or Jamaat khana and address the congregation.

A napaak person (one in the state of major ritual impurity, needing a ghusl) is not allowed to enter the masjid.
