Question: If human blood falls and soaks into a Masjid carpet,can it be cleaned and if so, then how?
Answer: Assalamu Alaikum,
Yes, it can be cleaned. The method of removing this grave impurity is that the area of the carpet should be washed by pouring water on it. Then a person should wait for some time until he thinks that the water has been absorbed into the carpet, or dried. Then he will pour water again and wait for similar time. Then he will pour water on the carpet for a third time and left to dry.
It is important to note that if the blood formed a body on the carpet, then it should be firstly scraped off and removed with a wet cloth and then washed in the manner prescribed above.
