Someone dies having three daughters and one son, has four appartments. he gives one to each son/daughter (mentioned in the will), can this be done? or daughters will only get half of what the sons get

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

if someone dies having three daughters and one son..and he has four appartments…he gives one to each son/daughter (mentioned in the will), first of all can this be done? or daughters will only get half of what the sons get? b) if one of the daughter dies……how will her appartment be distributed? c) If these three daughters and sons have any children..will the children get anything?

Answer

a) Firstly, the value of the apartments has to be determined. Thereafter,
each son or daughter will be given their share based on the ration 2:1 (
i.e. a son will get double what a daughter gets.)
b) The distribution of the deceased daughter’s estate will depend on who her
heir are. Please elaborate the question.
c) No.
