Is Umrah mandatory when travelling from Riyadh to Jeddah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I live in Riyadh and have plan with friend to go Jeddah via car. We will be crossing Miqat. So will it be mandatory on us to perform Umrah?

If you intend to go to Jeddah and you don’t intend to enter in Makkah Mukarramah i.e. Haram then in the question mentioned above neither it is mandatory for you to wear ihram nor perform Umrah.
