Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Wanted to double-check, is it acceptable to wear small headphones/earplugs in ihram?

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

Yes, one may wear headphones and earplugs while in the state of ihram.

What is prohibited in Ihraam is covering the head (for a man only) or face using something that is usually used for the purpose of covering. Headphones and earplugs do not fall under this category of items.[1]

Only Allah Ta’ala knows best.
