Question
Salaams we travel a lot for our job
eg: I travel 36 miles and then as soon as we have finished our meeting we have to travel say another 40 miles to a different town. How do we perform Qasr Salaah?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, one will only be considered a Musafir if one exits the boundaries of his/her locality with the intention of travelling the Safr distance (48 Miles). [1]
If one did not make an intention of travelling the Safr distance, one will not be a Musafir.
Accordingly, if you had intended to travel to both places from the onset, you will be a Musafir and make Qasr (shorten your Salaah) as you will exceed the Safr distance of 48miles.
However, if you did not intend to travel to another town from the onset, you will not be a Musafir, hence; you will perform the complete Salaah.

(قاصدا) ولو كافرا، ومن طاف الدنيا بلا قصد لم يقصر (مسيرة ثلاثة أيام ولياليها)
(قوله قاصدا) أشار به مع قوله خرج إلى أنه لو خرج ولم يقصد أو قصد ولم يخرج لا يكون مسافرا
