Performing qadha salaah at the time of sunrise

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: In order to catch up on my qadha salaahs I have been reading them straight after fajr during sunrise not knowing it has been wrong to do so, is my salaah valid and should I re-read all my qadha salaahs that I have read at this time?

Bismillaah

A: The qaza salaah performed before sunrise is valid. However, the qaza salaah performed at the time of sunrise is not valid and will have to be repeated.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
