What does ghaneemat refer to?

Q: My question is about earning and ‘ghaneemat’. I work and earn a salary at the end of each month. Is it ‘ghaneemat’? Or ghaneemat is some extra money you got out of no where?

A: The word ghaneemat refers to booty (the spoils of war).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
