Status of the narrator Sa’id ibn Zakariyya Al Qurashi

What is the status of the Hadith narrator Sa’id ibn Zakariyya Al Qurashi

Answer

Certain Muhaddithun have declared Sa’id ibn Zakariyya Al Qurashi Al Madaini slightly weak. However, several Muhaddithun including Imams Ibn Ma’in, Salih ibn Muhammad Al Baghdadi and Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) have declared him credible. Imam Nasai (rahimahullah) has also expressed a similar view.

‘Allamah Dhahabi and Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahumallah) have declared him truthful (saduq) i.e. His narrations will be deemed sound.
