Kindly provide the source of this narration:

Answer

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abid Dunya (rahimahullah) has recorded this statement of Riyah Al Qaysi (rahimahullah).

(Kitabut Tawbah: 180. Also see: Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 6 pg. 194 and Siyaru A’alamin Nubala, vol. 8 pg. 174)

Riyah ibn ‘Amr Al Qaysi (rahimahullah) was famous for his piety. He dedicated his life to ‘ibadah. He heard Hadith from Malik ibn Dinar (rahimahullah) and Hasan Al Basri (rahimahullah) as well, according to some.

(Siyaru A’alamin Nubala, vol. 8 pg. 174)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
