Isa (Alaihis Salaam) returning as a follower of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have heard that when Hazrat Isa Alayhis Salaam comes to this world he will come as a Nabi. But I am confused because we know that Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the Final Prophet and Messenger after whom no New Prophet or Messenger will come to this World. Please clarify.

Bismillaah

A: Hazrat Isa (Alayhis Salaam) will remain a Nabi, however he will come as a follower of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He will not come as an independent Nabi with his own shariat.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
