Question: Assalam’aleykum,

What is the ruling on performing the Fajr prayer with the recitation of only one verse in each cycle due to beginning it one minute before sunrise?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Yes, your prayer would be valid if you finished before sunrise.

However you should repeat this prayer due to your deliberately leaving the necessary (wajib) actions of the prayer.
