Traveling Alone: Wife with Kids Going to India from South Africa – Mahram Required?

Q: Can a wife travel, say from South Africa to India , with two minor kids, without any mahram?

Bismillaah

A: It is not permissible in Islam for a woman to travel for the distance of 78 km or more without a mahram. For further details refer to http://muftionline.co.za/node/11470
