My husband and I had an argument and he said some hurtful things which he often says when we have our arguments. The next day we were talking and he asked me if I wanted a seperation. I said yes and he immediately mumbled Talaaq,Talaaq,Talaaq and got out of the car. Please advise if this terminates the nikkah (marriage).

Marriage without Parents Consent

A man told his wife on the phone in anger Talaq (divorce) 3 times. Later his wife phoned to ask how many talaqs did you give. He answers three without saying the word talaq again. Are 3 talaqs done? And if Talak is done what is the solution if he wants to take his ex-wife back in nikah (marriage) again?A. Talaaq given in anger is valid and binding. (Raddul Muhtaar V10 P489).  In this case, three Talaaqs have taken place and reconciliation is not possible without the process of Halaalah, which means she marrying another man after her Iddat, getting divorced from him, completing that Iddat of the second husband’s divorce and then coming back to the first husband. But this cannot be planned and orchestrated. It should happen naturally.Moulana Yusuf Laher Source

I asked my husband for talaq (divorce). He gave it in this way: I said ‘give me talaq’, he said ‘I give you’. This was done three times with one witness present. Is this talaq valid because he stated that he never said ‘I give you talaq’, he only said ‘I give you’. Is our Nikah (marriage) still valid?
