I have a question regarding the permissibility and validity of a person who is an illegitimate son leading Salat. My mother is not a Muslim and my father’s status is highly questionable. I was raised as a non-Muslim by my mother, and 3 years ago I embraced Islam, Al Hamdulillah. It has been mentioned that I am not allowed to lead Salat due to being illegitimate.
