Can children be given the names of angels? Is this better to avoid?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

May His blessings and peace be on His Beloved Prophet, the best of creation, and his family, companions, and followers

It is permitted to give children the names of angels, and it is not disliked. Ibn Hajar mentioned this explicitly in al-Tuhfa, in the section on the `aqiqa.
