Reward for saying Allah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
What is the reward for saying the word Allah on it own ? Please provide hadith reference if possible
The virtue and reward in saying only the word of Allah is that just because of the existence of only this one word the whole world is not destroyed. We find in the sayings of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) that: “The Day of Judgment will not occur until there is even one person who is saying Allah, Allah.” Amongst the explanations of the aforementioned hadith is that the remembrance of Allah is the spirit of the whole universe; and when the spirit is removed from anything it is destroyed. Because it is in the form of a word, and Man has been ordered to say it, there is reward in just saying it. There are set rewards for saying particular words and sentences. For example: Subhanallah . . . and La Hawla wa la kuwatta etc. What we can say for certain about the word of Allah is that it is a form of the remembrance of Allah, and there is virtue in the remembrance of Allah; and because of it Allah (sbt) has kept the skies and earth from being destroyed. Thus, we can get an idea of the value of only the saying the name of Allah.
