Question: After browsing the English translation of Hisnul Haseen by Shaykhul Hadeeth Muhammad Ibn Al-Jazri,I was unable to find a supplication to be used to gain the co-operation of others.
I am referring to the co-operation of my employment colleagues, so that we can all finish various tasks at the level required from us my our store manager.
Do you know of any such supplication?
Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I pray that you’re well, insha’Allah.
One can use the prophetic supplication, as recorded by Imam Nawawi (Allah be pleased with him) in his work, the Book of Remembrances (Kitab al-Adhkar), “O Allah! There is nothing easy except that which You make easy; and You make the difficult, if You wish, easy” (Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja`altahu sahla wa anta taj`al ul-hazna idha shi’ta sahla), and intend a specific meaning of making one’s work easy for oneself and one’s co-workers such that one can do a good job.
اللهُمَّ لا سَهْلَ إلا مَا جَعَلتَهُ سَهْلا وَ أنتَ تَجْعَلُ الحزْنَ إذا شِئْتَ سَهْلا
This supplication is also recorded, with similar wording, in Sahih Ibn Hibbān in which the verifier, Shaykh Shu`ayb Arna`ut, notes that its chain of transmission is authentic.
And Allah alone gives success.
