“Sheesha”, the harms of smoking, and their rulings…

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Many people do “sheesha”, and I feel they fall into it because it “seems” less harmful than smoking because of the fruit flavours. I want to encourage them to stop, but was wondering if it takes the same ruling as smoking. Also, if the ‘Ulama were informed of the effects of second hand smoke, would there be a consensus in the ruling on smoking?
