What is the ruling on performing Umra or Hajj with those suffering with urinary incontinence?&n

Answered by Shaykh Abdurrahman ibn Yusuf Mangera

What is the ruling on performing Umra or Hajj with those suffering with urinary incontinence?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu alaykum

There is no special ruling for one suffering with urinary incontinence in regards to Hajj and Umra. Once the person in question has been established to be a ma’dhur or “excused person” (please search for these terms on SunniPath for detailed rulings), then he will be the same as any person who has wudu’. He will perform tawaf during the time of the prayer and then stop when the time of the prayer expires, go and renew his wudu’, and then continuer the tawaf if he has not completed it.

And Allah knows best.

Wassalam
Abdurrahman ibn Yusuf
