Bleeding During Wudu: Can I Wipe & Continue?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

If blood spreads on one’s skin half way through wudu, should one start his wudu over again or should he merely wipe off the blood and continue on from the halfway point?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

You would have to start your wudu over again, after wiping and washing away the blood. It is from the conditions for the validity of wudu that nothing that negates it occur during it. [Radd al-Muhtar]

Walaikum assalam,
Faraz Rabbani.
