We live in India and all our domestic helpers are Hindus. Can we give zakat /sadqa fitr to poor hindus? Or is it mandatory to give it to Muslims?

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

This request, in its exhaustiveness, is beyond the scope of our Answers service.

Zakat al-Fitr may be given to non-Muslims in the Hanafi school; but Zakat itself can’t. (Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar)

And Allah alone gives success.
