Teaching children the South African anthem

Q: Is it permissible to teach kids the South African anthem? It is part of a non examination school subject, but recommended that they learn?

Bismillaah

A: These are all baseless rituals. The right thing is to teach them the name of Allah, and the words of Allah and His Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
