Stunned Animals: Halal or Haram?

Q: Is an animal which is stunned haraam to eat?

A: If the animal was stunned and died before being slaughtered, its meat will be haraam.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّـهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ ﴿الأنعام: ١٢١﴾
