Q: Can Muslims have dogs as pets?

A: We are prohibited in Islam from keeping dogs as pets.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

عن على بن أبى طالب  رضى الله عنه  عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال  لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه صورة ولا كلب ولا جنب. (ابو داود رقم 227)
