Three types of dreams

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A person dreams a lot. How does he know which dreams should he find out about the interpretation?

A: In principle, there are three types of dreams. The first is the dream that comes as a glad tiding or warning from the side of Allah Ta’ala. The second is confused or mixed up dreams caused through the thoughts that are in one’s mind regarding one’s daily activities and involvements. The third is frightening or baseless dreams that are instilled in one’s mind from the side of shaitaan.

The dreams that relate to the first type are significant and have an interpretation.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
