Keeping the Quaran in a drawer of the dressing chest

Q:  In the bedroom, where can the Quaran be kept?  I have always kept my Quaran in a drawer of the dressing chest in the bedroom but now I am told that that is improper and should always be kept above head-high.

A: The Qur’an should be shown utmost respect. It should be placed on a high shelf in the cupboard.
