Q: What is the Sunnah method of Mu’aanaqah?

Bismillaah

A: We haven’t come across any hadeeth showing the exact method of mu`aanaqah. The normal way that is in vogue amongst the pious and learned mashaayikh will be the correct method.

وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت : قدم زيد بن حارثة المدينة ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيتي فأتاه فقرع الباب فقام إليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عريانا يجر ثوبه والله ما رأيته عريانا قبله ولا بعده فاعتنقه وقبله . رواه الترمذي (مشكاة رقم 4682)
