Q: Is it compulsory for a Haji to spend the entire night in Muzdalifa?

A: It is not compulsory, however it is sunnat for a Haji to spend the entire night in Muzdalifa.

و اذا فرغ من العشاء يبيت بمزدلفة و البيتوتة بها الي الفجر سنة مؤكدة عندنا (غنية 165)

وانما جعلوا خوف الزحام لنحو عجز او مرض عذرا لحديث انه صلى الله عليه وسلم قدم ضعفة اهله بليل (غنية 167)
