Few People sharing in a Nafl Qurbaani of a Goat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can two or three brothers share in one goat for Nafl Qurbaani? e.g. two brothers buy one goat for their deceased father for Nafl Qurbaani.

A: It is permissible. However, it is better for one person to do the qurbaani of one animal. He may thereafter convey the thawaab to any person he pleases. Therefore, if few brothers buy an animal, they should give their share to one of the brothers, and he should make the qurbaani from his side. However, both ways are permissible. (Fataawa Mahmodiyyah and Fataawa Darul Uloom)
