Finger-Rings for Males: Ahaadeeth and Fatawaa.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can you please acquaint me with all the Ahaadeeth and Fatawaa regarding the wearing and usage of finger-rings for males.

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible for males to wear silver rings, though not wearing a ring is preferred. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) wore a ring for the purpose of stamping his letters, not for the purpose of adornment. If a male wears a silver ring, he should wear it on the small finger of the right or left hand and it should not exceed one mithqaal (4.374 grams).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
