Meaning of not getting deviated by the worldly life

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Allah mentioned to us not to get deviated by worldly life and not to love the worldly life. Is this correct?

If yes then we Muslims should not become engineers in software and technology because it leads to development of the world which leads to people loving and getting deviated by worldly life, even if it has benefit then it may also have no benefits.

Bismillaah

A: Deviated means being deviated from any of His obligations and duties.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
